Around the resort

Our park is surrounded by water and is connected to the Loosdrechtse Plassen.  You can rent a boat or dinghy and go on an adventure. You'll find the most beautiful spots in and around these beautiful lakes this way. 

A relaxed weekend away would not be complete without enjoying a beer, wine or soft drink on a patio. You will find several pleasant patios in the towns around the Loosdrecht lakes (Loosdrecht, Breukelen, Loenen aan de Vecht or Nieuw-Loosdrecht). 

You simply must go fishing during your vacation in Loosdrecht. You'll find lots of fish species in the Loosdrechtse Plassen, such as pike, perch, zander, roach, carp, and more. You usually need a VIS card, which yo ucan order online. 

 

One of the most impressive historic buildings in the vicinity of the Loosdrechtse Plassen is Castle-Museum Sypesteyn. A beautiful garden has been laid out around the castle , where you can go for wonderful walks.  The castle museum is also a beautiful sight to see on the inside. Walk through the old hallways and rooms and get a unique insight into the life's work of Jonkheer Henri van Sypesteyn.

This old castle is located some distance from the Loosdrechtse Plassen, but is still definitely worth a visit. If you follow De Vecht in southward direction, you will eventually reach the lock. 

The area around the Loosdrechtse Plassen is great for hiking and cycling. Stroll through the streets of nearby towns such as Loosdrecht, Breukelen, Loenen aan de Vecht or Nieuw-Loosdrecht. 

Visit our capital, Amsterdam! Amsterdam is the place of tulips, canals, houseboats and museums. Enjoy a day of shopping, grab a bite to eat or see one of the sights.

A visit to Utrecht should not be missed when staying at our park. This beautiful city, is one of the oldest cities in the Netherlands. With its beautiful parks, churches, bustling bars and restaurants, and historic buildings, a visit to Utrecht is definitely recommended.

A day in the countryside and a taste of life on the farm. That is what Van Herk farm offers. In the farm shop, you can buy the meat of their Black Angus cows. But also cheese, milk, yogurt, honey, jam and delicious freshly made farm ice cream!

Hospitality, quality, a good atmosphere and conviviality are the most important ingredients at 't Schuurtje Apiary. You can book special programs allowing you to enjoy a delicious farmer's lunch and a workshop. Would you simply like to come have a look? That is also possible! Visit the country shop and have a look at the candle factory. There is a great petting zoo for the children.
